As 2011 draws to an end, we can look back as say "What a Year it has been!!!"  January saw some of the worst snow storms we have had for many years but as always winter gives into spring and the snow is gone..  March brought about another round of surgery to be rid of the Big C.. Happy to report the surgery went well and to aid recovery we all set off on a 5 night cruise on board Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Sea, visiting Grand Cayman and Cozumel.

Returned to work in May and very quickly it was if I had never been away.  As spring slipped into summer we spend a few weekends visiting Jon's parents at the Cape and doing some wonderful day trips with Mystic Valley Railways Society, visiting New Hampshire, Maine and Connecticut.

My brother Edward and my son Allen came to visit us for two weeks from Scotland.  We took Edward up to Niagara Falls Canada for a long weekend.  We managed to fit it a visit to Toronto and the CN Tower and also the Village of St Jacobs and its farmers market.  We returned to Boston in time to celebrate July 4th with the family.

September arrived and Jon and I went on a trip to Tallinn Estonia.  Tallinn is a very old city that has retained much of its historical city walls and eastern architecture. We spent an amazing 5 days exploring the city and all it had to offer.

Fall had soon arrived and we were able to attend the Highland Games at Loon Mountain in New Hampshire. This was an amazing sight to see, The people were more Scottish than the people in Scotland, I have never seen so many different tartans all in the one place.. The scenery around the White Mountains reminded me so much of Perthshire; back in Scotland.

October arrived and so did the excitement about our long awaited 14 night cruise on board Royal Caribbean's Jewel of the Seas, sailing out of Boston for the Caribbean Sea and the islands of St Thomas, St Kitts, St Lucia, Barbados, Curacao and Aruba. We set sail in a nor-easter storm which made our first 48 hours interesting. We had the best vacation ever, we met some very nice people and saw some amazing views. We enjoyed the cruise so much we have booked to do a transatlantic cruise from Barcelona to Florida next October.

And so the year end nears.... We wish all our Family and Friends a Happy Hanukkah and a Merry Christmas and all good blessings for 2012..
